T-Box USB Installation Run T-Box Driver Installer before connecting the device to the PC. After installing the hardware, set the proper latency timer value see next page. Hardware installation After connecting (for the first time) the device into the USB socket you may be asked to provide the driver. The driver can be found on the delivered CD. Select the proper one depending on the OS you are using and follow the windows wizard, which directs you through the installation process. Software installation The software doesn t require any installation, only the hardware must be installed first. Just run the applications and use them. After running the software for the first time don t forget to set and save the proper USB COM Port Number. USB COM Port Identification 1. Click on "Start" button 2. Click on "Control Panel" 3. Double-click on "System" icon 4. Click on "Hardware" tab 5. Click on "Device Manager" button 6. Expand "Ports (COM & LPT)" tree by clicking on the [+] icon The port will be listed as "USB Serial Port (COMx)" as shown below (Note that your COM port assignment may differ from the image below). 1 T-Box USB Installation Troubleshooting and speed tuning Some installations may experience occasional connection and speed problems that can be corrected through the VCP driver properties. The following steps should correct these connection problems. 1. Click on "Start" button 2. Click on "Control Panel" 3. Double-click on "System" icon 4. Click on "Hardware" tab 5. Click on "Device Manager" button 6. Expand "Ports (COM & LPT)" tree by clicking on the [+] icon 7. Right-click on the VCP serial port, then click Properties from the drop-down menu 8. In the Properties dialog, select the "Port Settings" tab, then click the "Advanced Settings" button 9. On the Advanced Settings dialog (below), reduce the value of the Latency Timer, you can also try to change the timeouts values.
