Subject: Drive Axle Mounting Brackets
revise S/N
The drive axle mounting brackets have been revised to reposition the brake assemblies eliminating the
possibility of an interference between the brake drum and the brake assembly.
Units prior to serial number C114V-2355H will require shimming if this interference condition exists.
The following chart lists the mounting bracket part numbers that may be affected.

*Note: P/N 37944 and 379445 are included in kit 379443 which replaced the original mounting
brackets P/N 362008 on Gram C-E-32.
1. If the drive axle can be shifted 4.0mm or more from side to side, one mounting bracket must be
shimmed.
Caution: If shimmed when less than 4.0mm, it may cause side loading on the mounting brackets.
2. Install three washers, P/N 366713, between the axle mounting bracket and the frame when shim-
ming is required.
Caution: Install only one washer at each of the three capscrew locations. Shim only one mounting
bracket. More than one washer thickness may cause side loading on the mounting brack-
ets.
INTERCHANGEABILITY:
Depot stock directly interchangeable; however, if shims are present they must be removed.
PARTS STOCK:
Use up stock.
