Woman: Tony, where are the CDs I bought yesterday for the party? I left them here on this
shelf.
Man: Oh, sorry Sheila. I put them somewhere when I was cleaning in the morning. Into
the drawer perhaps?
Woman: No, only the old ones are there. I just don t want to be looking for them when our
guests come.
Man: Have you checked on the desk?
Woman: Yes, but I didn t see them there.
Man: I ll check the desk again. Oh, here they are. You didn t look carefully enough.
They were behind your laptop.
Woman: What a relief!
Man: Now, the drinks are in the fridge but what about the food? We haven t prepared
anything yet!
Woman: Tony, have you forgotten? Mark and Gina are bringing the cake and I ve ordered
pizza and some salads from the restaurant to be brought here at six o clock.
Man: Sorry, I m just a bit nervous. It s an important day for me.
Woman: I know, I know, you ll be very old today. Sixteen! But don t worry, I was sixteen
two years ago and I m still alive.
Man: Oh, please, stop it. When are mum and dad coming back?
Woman: About ten. We won t have much time to clean the house after the party.
Man: We ll manage.

& Hello everyone. Well, before we start the lesson, I d like to tell you about the next edition
of the Flag Contest organised by National Geographic. I think it s a good idea to participate in
it. All you have to do is to create an original computer design for a flag about environmental
protection. When we do projects in class, you often work in pairs, or in groups of three
or four, but for the contest you have to do the task alone. Your computer is your only help.
Now about the prizes. They are usually very attractive. I remember that last year
the winner got a tablet. This time the winner will get some albums about the most beautiful
places in the world. To buy them, you would have to pay at least Ł200.
Well, as I said before, the contest is a good idea, so I hope a lot of you will join in you
can even start today! Thank you for your attention. And now back to our lesson.

Wypowiedz 1.
Friends are very important in our lives. We share some secrets with them and help each other.
That s why we must be sure whether we can count on somebody or not. When I meet a new
person, I want to know if I can depend on them. It usually takes me a few weeks or even
months, but it s important because it helps to avoid unpleasant situations. So I don t hurry.
Wypowiedz 2.
It s hard for me to make friends. I m often too shy to start a conversation even with the people
that I know. Well ... I can t do anything about it. I often stay away from my friends and watch
them play or talk. Sometimes they notice me and invite me to play with them. But sometimes
they don t look at me at all and then I feel really sad.
Wypowiedz 3.
I don t understand why some teenagers are shy and quiet or so serious that they get angry
when their friends laugh so much. I really love spending time with other people and I m
always ready to become friends at once, even with a stranger. Being alone is so boring.
You can only sit at home and worry about your problems.
Wypowiedz 4.
I usually prefer to spend my time alone. I dream about what my life is going to be like
in the future. I often imagine myself as a scientist making an important discovery. Of course,
I have some friends, three or four classmates, but that s enough for me. We sometimes
go to the cinema together and I enjoy being in just a small group.
