The final element of the moon invasion fleet has assembled at a military launch complex: four space shuttles are ready for lift-off but ADATA has detected a large number of alien craft moving at high speed towards the earth. The shuttles and their assault teams are being rushed through the pre-flight procedures, but the alien craft are minutes away...@
The network of installations which surround the shuttle launch pads are the principal defense objective in this scenario. These installations contain all the tracking and navigation systems that guide the shuttles to the moon and coordinate the landing sequences of the cargo pods.#
Reports are just in that the moon assault team is safely underway. Alien craft attempted to destroy the launch vehicles on the ground but fierce opposition by Earth forces prevented their success. Since the raids no other alien craft have been detected - either their forces are too weak to launch an attack or they are holding off until the assault team lands. Either way, we'll know within days. Until then the world holds its breath.#
We have just received word of a massive explosion at the moon assault team launch site. Debris falling a mile from the facility has been identified as the remains of a space shuttle. With the continuing buildup of alien forces on the moon, the total defeat of the Earth's forces must be only days away.#
