The Rules
Objective:
The objective is to gather all the cards belonging to the same character. This
game allows the students to use the verbs like , love , hate and the
vocabulary related to food.
How to play the Game:
1. Make groups of 4-5 players and give a set of cards for each group.
2. One of the players is the dealer. He/she shuffles the cards and deals 6
cards to each player. The other cards make a pile.
3. The dealer starts the game by choosing a player and asking him/her a
question about one of the characters (ex: Does Tom like milk? or Tom
doesn t like milk, does he? ). (You can only gather the cards of a character if
you have already at least one card of this character in your own game.)
" If the player does not have the card (there has to be a red frame around
the picture), he/she answers I don t know. Then, the dealer takes a card
from the pile. If, by any chance the card is the answer to his/her
question, he/she can play again. If not, it is the player sitting on the
dealer s left who chooses someone and asks him/her a question.
" If the player does have the card (with a red frame around the picture),
he/she answers No, he doesn t. (short answer) or No, he doesn t like
milk. (long answer) Then, the dealer can continue to ask questions. He /
She can ask the same player or choose another one.
4. Once all the tastes of a character have been gathered, the player puts all the
cards belonging to this character on the table.
5. The winner is the player who has gathered the most characters.
