KT Method
Lumbar Spine Transverse I-Shape
Movie for broad-band (300kbps)
Patient position: neutral standing.
Remove backing from the central
portion of the tape.
Ask the patient to move into trunk
extension.
Apply the middle 1/2 of the tape with
severe (75%) available tension to the
affected lumbar spinous processes.
Ask the patient to move into trunk
flexion.
Apply the distal ends of the Kinesio
Tex with no tension.
Completed Kinesio Tex application
