Fire Safety Systems Arrangements
(DNV Extended Checklist)
This checklist has been developed by DNV for the purpose of preparing for the joint PSC
Concentrated Inspection Campaign on Fire Safety (CIC2012) announced by the Paris MOU and Tokyo
MOU. The checklist covers the areas highlighted in the official CIC2012 checklist, and further sub-
divides them into sub-elements.
The checklist does not claim to be comprehensive its main purpose is to help ships prepare
more thoroughly for a campaign inspection by raising crew awareness of the scope of the campaign.
Due to the checklist is being rather generic and addressed to all ships in DNV class, not all
questions may be applicable to a particular type of ship or a ship within a particular age group. We
therefore strongly recommend referring to SOLAS Chapter II-2, SOLAS Chapter III and the
International Code for Fire Safety Systems (FSS Code). Please contact DNV if further clarification is
required.
Does the Fire Control Plan meet the requirements?

appliance is provided for joining crew
