Hyster Company has been advised by its vendor that the female terminals and cavity plugs of
the female multiplug for the ESOS relay harness, part number 1396259 may have had
incorrect terminals installed for a very short period of time. This will have reduced the
amperage required to pull in the ESOS.
To correct this problem, when it is reported, wires BX(white) and BZ (red) require replacement
if the relay is not pulling in or is working intermittently. To accomplish this, disassemble by
carefully inserting a small bladed screwdriver to release each terminal. Pull the terminals out
of the female multiplug (p/n 1375795) individually. Then remove the female terminals and
cavity plugs at the BX (white) and the BZ (red) wires.
Re-Assembly involves fitting the cavity plug p/n 1329147 (seal) and female spade terminal
p/n 1375796 to both wires, making sure that they are well crimped and the connections are
solid. Finally, push the wire/terminal assembly into the connector body until a click is heard or
felt, making sure that each wire corresponds to the correct number. Gently pull on the cable
to confirm that the terminal is locked in the body.
