Muscle Testing (T-0057)
Semitendinosus (Medial Hamstrings)
Movie for broad-band (300kbps)
Patient position:
Prone, with the thigh firmly stabilized on the
table in slight abduction and medial rotation.
The knee should be flexed between 50-70
degrees and the leg medially rotated on the
thigh.
Examiner pressure:
Against the leg proximal to the ankle in the
direction of knee extension. Do not apply
pressure against the rotation component.
Check on the radio button that best describes your test results. If the numeric grade is lower
than 5, click on the NEXT button located on the bottom right hand corner of this page, and
proceed to the Tape Specification Section.
