• Electro hydraulic power assist steering (EHPAS) has been adopted for vehicles with the LF engine. Engine load is reduced due to the electric power steering oil pump operating independently of the engine. This allows for an improvement in fuel economy while conserving the performance and feeling of conventional hydraulic power steering.
• When replacing the electric power steering oil pump, configuration procedure must be done to match the vehicle information with a new EHPAS control module.
