1st row (right side): 1sc into 2nd ch from hook. *work a Pyramid of I6ch. 1sc into 3rd ch from hook, 1dc into each of next 3ch], skip 3ch. 1 sc into next ch; rep from * to end. turn.

2nd row: 6ch (count as 1 dtr and 1ch), *1sc into ch at tip of next Pyramid. 3ch; rep from • ending 1sc into ch at tip of last Pyramid, 1ch, 1 dtr into last sc, skip tch. turn.

Broomstick Lace

Multipie of 4 sts.

(add 1 for base cham)

Notę: For description of Lace Loop see page 13.

1st row (right side): 1sc into 2nd ch from hook, 1 sc into next and each ch to end, turn. 2nd row: 1 ch. 1 sc into first st. 1 sc into next and each st to end. skip tch, turn.

3rd row: *1ch. draw loop on hook up to approx height of dtr, keeping loop on hook and not allowing it to change size through yarn slippage. insert hook into next st. yo. draw loop through; rep from ' to end keeping all lace loops on hook. (Hint: slip some sts off handle end of hook if they become too numerous.) At end remove all except last lace loop from hook, yo, draw loop through, insert hook under back thread and work 1sc as for Solomon's Knot (see page 13), to lock last lace loop, turn.

4th row: “Always inserting hook through next 4 lace loops together work 4sc; rep from * to end. turn.

Crossed Lace Loop Stitch

1st row (right side): 1dc into 6th ch from hook. ’1ch, skip 1ch, 1dc into next ch; rep from * to end, turn.

2nd row: 1 ch, 1 sc into first st, * 1 sc into next ch. 1sc into next dc; rep from * ending 1sc into each of next 2ch of tch. turn.
