D^signs for postage stamps

Design a stamp. Design a stamp to commemorąte a speciai occasion. Make wildlife stamps. stamps of famous buildings. sports stamps, Christmas stamps. Use wax crayons, felt-tip pens or paint. Make the stamps about A4 size. Have a competition. Make a collage of the finished designs (see photograph).

Handwrlting. Look at letters from the 19th century or early years of the 20th century. Look at the way handwriting has changed. Rule some pages in thick and thin lines and practise copperplate wrrting. Write a letter to an elderly person in your best copperplate asking what school was like when they went to school.
