BASIC PIYOTS FOR THROWING

Sixth Pivot: Two-Foot-Jump.

Players are morę than norma! distance apart, Receiver may possibly be stiff-arming or re-treating, Photo #1.

Thrower is in slight crouch, springs up from baiłs of both feet, turning as he jumps, Photo #2.

Thrower lands on both feet in front of Receiver, Photo #3.

Position for throw is same as in First Pivot, shown here from different angie, Photo #4.

Ending is appropriate for Hip Throw.

Seventh Pivot: One-Foot Jump.

PLayers are in same situation as for Sixth Pivot. Thrower has planned throw which requires free use of one leg, as for instance, Springfoot Throw. From slight crouch, Thrower jumps up from bali of left foot, turning body into Receiver, right leg is bent into position ready for execution of throw, Photo #5.

Pivot completed in finał position for throw,

Photo #6. Notę that left foot points straight for-ward (a hali-circle has been madę by Thrower's body) and that left foot must be placed close into Receiver because it is center of gravity for weight of both bodies as throw is madę.

Notę: For body throws, it is a generał rule that the Thrower's center of gravity should be the center of gravity for body weight of Receiver.
