FUEL CONNECTIONS. (Photos 12 & 13).
17. Connect one end of metal fuel linę to the rubber T piece situated on the left hand carburettor. By using the 3“ length of P.V.C. fuel linę connect metal tubę to the right hand carburettor. Connect 2 foot length of P.V.C. fuel linę betwecn T piece and fuel pump outlet. Ali connections to be secured using elips provided . (Phofos 12 & 13).
18. Refit fan housing and oil cooler matrix using either new seals betwecn crankcase and oil cooler or apply a slight application of sealing compound to original rubbers. When lowering fan housing into position ensure that the thermostat control rod passes between the right hand cylinders.
19. The two slotted set screws, one at each end of fan housing, are replaced by fwo hexagon headed set screws previously removed from front face of fan housing when fitting cross shaft support assembly. Tighten all securing points of fan housing and refit thermostat and dirt shield-
20. Pass throttle cable guide tubę through fan housing and from beneath car pass throttle cable through tubę. Refit throttle cable sleeve, spring and clip. (When fitted).
21 . Fit exhaust blanking plates, using gaskets, x 3" UNF hex . set screws,
nuts and spring washers provided, over the original pre-heater outlets on exhaust system. (Photos 12 & 13).
22. Remove nut on top crankcase joint and position balance-pipe and bracket as seen in Photo 15. Refit nut and washer - connect rubber balance hoser to pipę and inlet manifolds with elips prov?ded. Position balance pipę so that it docs not rattle against anything and the bends in the rubber hoses are not too acute . Tighten nut.
23. Reconnect pług and coil leads, regulator and battery connections.
CONNECT LINKAGE. (Photos 14 & 15 and Diagram 5).
24. Connect throttle-links at each end of cross-shaft to levers on carburettor spindles, first ensuring that each link is adjusted to minimum length and the locknuts are loose. The links have a right hand thread in the white end and a left hand thread in the black end.enabling the length to be adjusted in position simply by turning the threaded rod with a spanner. The locknut is on the right hand threaded part and should be locked up against the white end .
