Chain trails

The chain trails which surround the centre can be started at any free picot. Ali joins are madę with the shuttle thread. Work a mini-mal picot over each join. Work the first four rounds continuously, then fasten off, and begin again for the following four rounds, which are also worked continuously.

Outer flower motifs

These are twelve in number, worked to match the centre flower motifs. Press the finished mat under a damp cloth.
