Chapter 4 Basic technigues

Joining dough together is a simple technique which you will need to use again and again. Try practising on simple shapes, concentrating on achieving a smooth finish which will hołd firmly.

Joining salt dough together

Wet one side of the join. Don't put too much water on the brush, or the dough will get slippery and the pieces will be

difficult to join. Gently push the two pieces of dough together and leave the joint to dry.
