THREE DUCKS OUT FOR A WALK
Roli out some dough until it is 3mm (’/in) thick. Cut a 75mm (3in) square. Cut the square in half diagonally to make two triangies. Wrap one triangle around the duck, Crossing over the two ends at the front. Roli a smali oall for the button and join it to the front of the scarf.
• Follow these instructions for the medium and small-size ducks. Make surę each duck is slightly smaller than the last.
Place the ducks on a baking tray and bakę them at 120°C (250nF or Gas Mark #) for about four hours.
Finishing the ducks
Using the other half of the triangle, cut out two circles for the hat with the round cutter. Wet the top of the head and join one cirde to it. Cut a half moon shape from the other circle and join it to the front of the hat. Make a smali pompom for the top of the hat.
When the ducks are cool you can paint them.
• White, for the ducks body, front button, pompom, and the spots on the scarf and hat
• Blue, for the scarf and ha*
• Yellow, for the beak and feet
• Black, for the eyes When the paint is dry apply two coats of varnish.
