EDGING B_

I see this child’s pinafore worn over a dark-coloured, long-sleeved party dress, which would probably be madę of velvet, or something equally unwashable, so the pinny would be practical as well as pretty. I madę it out of poly-cotton from a sun-dress pattern, altered to button at the back. The tatting looks complicated, but it is very simple, really. If you use the photograph as well as the diagram, it should not present any problems. You need only one shuttle and bali thread for the first three rows, but should wind the bali thread on to a second shuttle for the fourth row, to work the smali rings on the outside edge. I suggest size 40 or 50 DMC Cordonnet Special thread.
