The second year of the seminar will be devoted to the actual writing of the MA theses. Students will be asked to deliver presentations in class and submit the remaning chapters of their theses.

Celem seminarium jest ukierunkowanie słuchaczy i pomoc w pisaniu pracy magisterskiej.
W rezultacie uczęszczania na zajęcia student powinien:
mieć dobrą ogólną orientację w zakresie problemów z zakresu teorii tłumaczenia; umieć dyskutować na temat zagadnień dotyczących tematu swojej pracy na podstawie dobranej literatury;
przeprowadzić analizę porównawczą angielskich utworów literackich i nieliterackich, filmów lub innych tekstów oraz ich polskich tłumaczeń (i na odwrót), ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem trafności przekładu, na poziomie wyrazu, frazy, zdania, itd.; sformułować pracę dyplomową zgodnie z konwencjami, prawidłowo wykorzystując odpowiednią do danego tematu literaturę, oraz umieć zaprezentować treści swojej pracy.
Struktura seminarium:
wybór tematu, formułowanie tytułu, planowanie.
omówienie struktury pracy magisterskiej (spis treści, wstęp, układ rozdziałów, konkluzje, bibliografia);
omawianie wybranych problemów, dobór i zgłębianie literatury; sposoby przytaczania źródeł (przypisy, cytaty, parafraza);
prezentacja wybranych przez studentów problemów badawczych oraz dyskusja; formułowanie pytań badawczych, analiza i opis.
