The gravity change caused by CO? injection is expected to be insignificant ( ), and not
detectable.
However, if a gravity and seafloor elevation survey is acquired 2011 - primarily for monitoring water influx into the gas reservoir, the data has the additional possibility to detect any (unexpected) seafloor rise near the CO? injection well. We should remember that compressibility values are solely based on core pług measurements, and this parameter is crucial for the storage capacity.
