Wygląda na to, że jest tam jeszcze jakiś ruch. Znajdują się tam ciekawe projekty ArcanumPascalum (właściwie to nie wiem o co tak właściwie z tym chodzi), multiplayer i Arcanum na linuksa. Na forum można przeczytać, że admin wykupił domenę na następny rok. Może coś ciekawego tam się kroi. Niestety dział download jest ubogi, a na ich kanale youtube nie dodali nic nowego.

To coś nowego, czy może już dawno istniała ta strona? Ja wpadłem na to ostatnio, ale nie jestem pewien czy to jakaś nowość.

First of all, thank You for letting this community know about ArcanumAlive project, I appreciate that a lot
Secondly, I agree with you that its content a little bit outdated and I assure you now that new stuff will arrive very soon. Also some things are not posted on main site, and you may find them only at forums, so you need check out forums to get latest stuff and info. (http://arcanum.game-alive.com/forums/)

Anyway, ArcanumPascalum is abandoned project, because nobody were interested to write new engine in Delphi, so new project has arisen. Its called OpenArcanum, and it has same purpose, but its written in C++ and uses OpenGL.

Also there is fixed online game, if you want to play multiplayer:

Are you doing this all alone? Forum is, I think, little empty. If I can help let me know, I would be very happy. I don't know any programming language, but I'm (little not good) computer graphics artist. Maybe 3d models are don't needed in OpenArcanum. I don't know how it's done.

Yep, atm I'm working on it alone, because there are tasks that are suitable only for me, like programming engine core, but I hope that later some other people will join to the team after OpenArcanum source codes gets released. About helping me, thank you for your offer, but I think that atm there is not nothing for you to help with.

Remodel? I always think that the all objects in Arcanum are 2d sprites. If I'll have exporter I can do something.

Yep, Arcanum has 2D sprites, and by remodeling I mean creating 3D model from 2D sprite Like that automaton or tesla rod, I get inspired from Arcanum as much as was possible.

Anyway, very nice stuff especially that train looks great. Have you modeled that in 3DS Max? or have you used Blender?

Well, atm its not really needed, but if you want to at least try it, and test your skills, could you please try to remodel a Arcane shield? or maybe some armor? which may be harder to remodel, so probably that shield will be he best choice for beginning.

I've tried to convert that 2D sprite to 3D model by tool I've made, but it doesn't look much satisfying:

OK, I do that shield. The worst thing is this that model have very small res. textures. I think the better idea will be modeling new steampunk stuff.

It looks good I think, but you are right, modeling new stuff will probably better idea. The question is, do you have any ideas for new steampunk stuff? because if you have some, anything that you create may be easily added into Arcanum via ArtGen.(http://arcanum.game-alive.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=51)
