In order to completc your cards you will require these additional items:

•    Sticky tape cut into smali picccs to secure the ends of the thrcads.

•    Clcar drying gluc or doublc-sidcd adhcsivc tape for fir.al assembly.

•    A piece of foam. a felt mat or a toidcd towcl to protcct your work surface

Step One Protcct your work surface. Opcn up the card and with the right side facing up, lay a design tempiatc on the middle section.

Step Two Holding the tcmplatc in place, takc the large pin and prick through each dot in tum on the template making surę that the pin also goes through the card. Re:novc the template when the cr.tirc design has bccn complcted Hint - If you wish to secure your template (o the card with sticky taf>e. place the tape on and off a cloth several limes. This will lakę ojf the excess stickmess yetstill allow it to adhere tu the card without leas ing a mark. To test jirst use the reverse oj the right panel as this will esentually fm htdden.

Step threc Cut a length of thread about 2 fcct long and thrcad the nccdle. (It is better to usc scYcral shori threads ralher than one long piece as the holes of the card may starł to w car away the filamcnt in the thrcad and cause il to fray The underside ofyour work will be hiddcn so it docs not matter how many limes you scal your threads.) Altach the thrcad to the back of the card, close to the starting point, with a smali piece of sticky tape, making surę that you do no’. covcr ovcr any holes.

Step Four Fol Iow instructions for each embroidered design, securing cach length of thread with a smali piece of sticky tape.

To clarlfy: “Out at..." tneans bring the needle from the back of the work th/ough to the front.

“In at..." means takc the needle from Uvc riglił side of llie work through to the back. Step Five When a design is compleled fold ur.der t)ie right hand side of the card and gluc in place around the edge.
