Yarn Rowan Ali Seasons Couon in colour 160.

Trimming ready-made denim hcart-shaped patch or similar.

Using size 7 (4.5mm/UK7) nccdlcs. cast on 18 sis and knit iwo $quarcs. Knit a handle on 27 sis.

HOLOGRAM DAISY BAG

(opposite page. top right)

Yarn Rowan l.urex Shimmcr in colour 336. Trimming iliree ready-made hologram cffcct daisy palches or similar.

Using size 3 (3.25mm/UKlO) needles cast on 20 sts and knit two squarcs. Knit a handle on 43 sts.

FLUFFY PINK RIBBON BAG

Yarn Sirdar Funky Fur in colour 536.

Trimming 24in (61 cm) length of a/ain (l.5cm) wide pink ribbon.

Using size 6 (4mm/UK8) needles cast on 20 sts and knit two squarcs.

Cut a 7in (I8crn) length of rihhon for the handle. Tic the remaining rihhon into a bow and altach to one bag piece. Sew the bag together and altach the handle to the insidc of the side seams.

SNOWFLAKE BAG

Yarn Fatons Tapestry (boncie) in colour 6000. Trimming ready-made star. snowflake or similar. Using size 6 (4mm/UK8) necdlcs cast on 22 sts and knit two squarcs. Knit a handle on 33 sts.

2 x 25g balls of colour oatmeal

Tapestry Wool (100% wool -8.7yd/8m per skein):

I skein each of: dark red red

light red dark blue blue gold

dark green grecn

Stranded cotton I x dark brown

Wire hanger

NEEDLES

Size 6 (4mm/UK8) needles Gauge (Tension)

20 sts and 28 rows to 4in (lOcm) over stockinette (stocking) stitch using 2 strands of sport (4ply) together and size 6 (4mm/UK8) needles

SAMPLER_

Using size 6 (4nim/UK8) needles and 2 strands of sport (4ply) together. cast on 36 sts.

Row I PI, * kl, pl; rep front * to end. This row fornis ntoss st.

Rep this row 3 tintes morę.

Row 5 Pl. kl. pl. k29, pl. kl. pl.

Row 6 Pl. kl. p3l. kl. pl.

Rep these 2 rows 20 tintes morę. then row 5 again.

Work 4 rows in ntoss st.

Next row Bind (cast) o(T 5 sts in patt. patt 7 sts (including last st used in binding (casting) of!). bind (cast) off II sts in patt, palt 7 sts (including last st used in binding (casting) ofi). bind (cast) off rem 5 sts in patt.

TABS (MAKE 2)

Willi RS of work facing, rejoin yam to First set of 7 sts and work 12 rows in ntoss st. Bind (cast) off in patt.

FINISHING_

Błock the piece to 7in (18cnt) square.

Use I strand of tapestry wool to swiss darń the design on to the knitted piece, following the chart on page 156.

Usc 6 strands of the stranded cotton to backstitch the smoke and use 2 long straight stitches for each window.

Sew the tabs over the wire hanger to the wrong side of the knitted piece.
